Remarks

A very rare Piaget “San-ANTONIO, Minuit” in 18k white and yellow gold. Produced in very few examples, this watch was created in the shape of a book for Frédéric Dard, a famous French writer of detective novels and close friend of Yves Piaget.

Throughout his career, Dard wrote over 300 books with more than half covering the adventures of main character “San Antonio”, a French secret service detective. These books are also called the “Antonio books”.

“Minuit” is featured on the original black dial. We believe this is a tribute to the 1950’s French Erotica Magazine “Minuit Pigalle” where Dard authored its 9th issue.

The movement is a manual calibre 4P1. 19 Jewels. Adjustment to 5 positions. Case dimensions 26mm x 35mm. Ca. 1980’s.
