We’re known for our love of DOXA Subs.

In any flavor, any color — from the classic, orange-dialed Professional to the stunning silver-dialed Searambler — we love 'em all. In fact, the original inspiration behind Analog:Shift was squarely centered on DOXA!

While not nearly as well-known as the Blancpain Fifty-Fathoms or the Rolex Submariner, the DOXA SUB series played an integral role in the development of the modern diver's watch.

The first generation of the model, introduced in 1967, brought innovations we now take for granted: the unidirectional bezel with the U.S. Navy's no-decompression dive timing marks, the expanding bracelet, and an oversized, luminous minute hand. After its introduction, DOXA rapidly became a household name for professional and amateur divers in the late 1960s and 1970s, and the SUB 300 evolved into an even more capable and reliable instrument.

While it may not have the recognizability of the orange-dialed 'Professional', the 'Divingstar' is perhaps the most striking and rarest when you factor in vintage examples. Preserving the classic 42.5mm diameter of the original Subs, it features a box-shaped sapphire crystal, a signed crown, a unidirectional dive bezel with no-deco scale, a luminous saturated yellow dial with a matching handset, and a stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet with a signed folding clasp and a wetsuit extension.

Powered by a COSC-certified automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve, this piece is waterproof to a whopping 300m, making it perfect for serious duty on the wrist of a certified diver. And though not a small watch, it wears comfortably due to its ergonomic, tonneau-shaped case profile.

Both a serious tool and seriously good-looking timepiece, the DOXA SUB 300 is a classic for a reason. Strap it on the next time you enter the water, and you'll see what we mean!
